Bloor West Village

This is one of the most popular residential neighbourhoods in Toronto. And it’s mainly because Bloor West Village itself is considered to be the best shopping districts in town. Here, you can avoid the big box stores if you want and do your shopping. Along Bloor Street you can find a number of groceries, pharmacists, produce merchants, restaurants, and also boutique-type shopping. Probably the only thing you won't find there is a hardware store.

Many of the brick houses in Bloor West date back to the 1920's, most of them have been renovated, at least on the outside. I like these homes especially for their charm and high level of construction. The average home price in this area of West Toronto would be around $500,000.

In Bloor West Village you can still feel the Eastern European influence, the Ukrainian festival is still held annually.

In my opinion, the finest restaurants in the area include Green Mango, surely one of the best Thai in town. My other personal favourite is The Falafel World and Bloom restaurant.
