Central Etobicoke
What is it that attracts people to Central Etobicoke? Perhaps it is the great community facilities, or the multicultural neighbourhood, or the nice sized yards that come with the reconstructed bungalows. Many of the houses have been added a second storey or torn down and rebuilt. However, in many cases prices of the land are higher than those of the homes.
This neighbourhood has good reputation for its many quality schools and many parks that follow Etobicoke Creek. There are also great community facilities, just like the Etobicoke Olympium pool (590 Rathburn Rd, Etobicoke ON, Phone: (647) 393-6776) and numerous skating rings. This area has a higher turnover, and families living here tend to be of younger age. They appreciate the multicultural neighbourhood Central Etobicoke can provide them.
Because of the proximity of the Toronto Pearson International Airport, there is quite a few flight attendants and pilots living in this area.
The best kept secret of this area would be the Winners discount fashion store inside the Cloverdale Mall shopping center (250 The East Mall, Etobicoke, ON, M9B3Y8, tel: 416 236-1669) – I shop there all the time...

Hello Jill,
I have my listing on “For sale by owner” site, as well as MLS. I live at 238 Albion Rd, unit 1011. It is the largest 3 bdrm, 2 baths unit with the best view of golf course, downtown and wild park with the river.2 car parking underground. We are living with our daughter and granddaughter, who needs to be closer to her ex to drop off the baby every morning. We would like to “switch” our property for 2 bdrm house with finished basement closer to College/Ossington where he lives. Can be between Yonge-Jane St. and from Lakeshore up to Eglinton. As close to 200K as possible. Condition does not matter. Please let us know if you have any such listing yourself. Thanks Ivana
